Determined to see God and to lead others to Him she is a daughter, mother, sister, aunt and friend whose true love for the people of God motivates her to be in continuous study of His word. Studying God’s word is her means for knowing what God would have for her and those around her. She believes in going in and possessing the promises of God. Through every mistake, trial and tribulation she understands that repentance, and determination are key to being the woman that God desires her to be.

The Founder/Director of Reuben’s Clean and Sober Living, a California Non-Profit Corporation, formed for women who need a place to live in a Clean & Sober Housing environment. To assist in finding transition points for women who need a home after completing a residential treatment program and who are looking for their own housing. She continues to find herself seeking new ways to help women who have gotten off track. An executive officer for Angel's Acres Outreach Ministry, she aids in the development of new outreach programs to help underprivileged women and children.

Damita is presently assisting Executive Producer Michael Dailey, one of the founding members of BMWMB (Black Men Who Mean Business). BMWMB under the leadership of Dr. Cornel West is a memorable movement that will restore and re-ignite the power of unity within the African America community. Love, solidarity and loyalty will hold this movement together and through mentoring, forums, listening parties and other events, BMWBM is committed to CHANGE. www.cornelscorner.com  Mr. Dailey’s current vision is a tremendous project that will touch and enhance the lives of single mothers and their children across the nation. “The Truth Be Told-The Essence of a Woman’s Journey” CD, produced by Mr. Dailey coupled with the partnership with Be Magic, Inc. has a two-fold mission. One: Provide a platform to educate women and children, give hope and change lives. Two: Implement “Give Me the M.I.C. - A Day of Music, Inspiration and Celebration”, which will visit several cities. Her debut book Sanctified H.O.T.T.I.E. Holy, Obedient, Teachable, True, Inspiring Excellence, was written after coming to understand that if our lives are predestined before birth so are our personalities. If a woman is a Diva or HOTTIE in the womb then God enhances that personality with holiness and uses it for uplifting of the kingdom. Sanctified H.O.T.T.I.E. is an inspirational book that promotes a positive body image for women without having to compromise religious beliefs or morals.

Damita currently resides in the Dallas, Texas with her children. She remains grateful to all who have helped shape her Christian walk.
